Hello again, I started out feeling optimistic about our continued survival. Then we hear chatter over the radios about South America being overrun by Hollow Men squads.
We had an idea South America was south of North America so we sent teams into the unknown to do some research. The call came in clear over the radio so wherever it was being broadcast from, it must be close. Once we knew were the radio signal originated, we sent teams to intervene. It started out strong, but then we didn’t hear back from any of the scouts that we sent from the Havens. None came back. Before we could send our main research team to investigate what happened to the scouts, there was another outbreak close to the havens. We decided to all fall back and secure our locations and regroup.
Later in March, we pushed out again. I don’t know how March went so wrong. After February’s success I think we may have over-estimated our ability. We had to quickly abandon our mission this month after a disastrous outbreak event happened with a few cities by surprise.
It would have been comical if the situation wasn’t so dire. I was working out east when outbreaks started up everywhere near by. I radioed into the Haven and the call was relayed that I was falling back and losing the east. Before I made it back to Niflheim to restock, shipments came poring in to Niflheim from all the other havens and field teams. I think the transmission to the other havens may have been misinterpreted and they thought I was out of supply and sent me theirs.
Long story short, I ended up with every bit of supply we had.
The east fell, but Niflheim didn’t. I was able to get supply back to the other havens before it was too late, but by then all the other teams returned to their bases to await further orders. I hope next month we can do better! March was not kind to us!
