Torbolt found himself in the middle of an outbreak. Half of his current team was lost in that mission. Torbolt himself has a few scratches but our medics assure us he and his remaining teammates are not carriers of the plague. We have taken a vote from the heads of the Havens and decided to put them back in the field. We had to get a few new people trained to take over the fallen’s positions so their first excursion will be next month. Hopefully the training we are putting them through will be enough to keep them alive.
During our exploration of Chicago we sent scouts to the west and found a run down and beat up San Francisco. There was a bridge in very bad condition. The expedition team found a plaque stating “The Golden Gate Bridge”. This must have been one of the places the military in the past blew up in an effort to halt the tide of infected. As we know now it didn’t work as we are still trying to rebuild. One place that reports say was relatively untouched was an island fortress. Nature has taken over parts of the island but it otherwise looks intact. From the sounds of it, that would be a perfect place. Maybe if we can get a supply center built there, we can keep those damn Hollow Men from destroying it easily.
We secured London’s supply center and word must have gotten out as we noticed a bit of a population increase.
Torbold relayed a message from Keldris that a new Haven, named Midgard, off of Lima’s coast was discovered. It was a ghost ship according to the reports. We will send an engineering team over to see about getting systems online. We knew there were more Havens, I’m glad that we are making a bit of progress in locating them. I wish this was full of survivors like us to help, but maybe we can send some people from the cities we are rescuing and position them there to help. I’m just thankful it has not sank. Hopefully there are more out there just like this one. We are not sure what happened, but we hope to use this to better position ourselves around the world as we battle this disaster.
